About Velo-city & COVID-19 Safety Measures: Let’s be prepared!

Blog About Velo-city & COVID-19 Safety Measures: Let’s be prepared!
We are eager to welcome you to Lisbon in September and are therefore making sure all health and safety regulations are in place.
We can assure you that we will comply with all measures and have as a result capped participation to 750 Velo-citizens in order to respond to the requested number of square meters per person in our venue of 10000sqm.

Our location FIL has developed an operational contingency plan to convey confidence and tranquility with the guarantee that all the regulations as well as the best practices promoted by the sector at global level, are complied with.

The COVID-Protocol for participants is being developed and adjusted in close coordination with the public health authorities in order to be in line with the latest developments. We will share it with participants closer to the event so that it is everyone is well informed.

Who will be in Lisbon?

In-person tickets are selling fast and we only have about 100 tickets out of the 750 tickets available left. We would therefore advise anyone who intends to come, to hurry up in order to be part of this year’s edition of the World Cycling Summit. We also have more than 30 partners and exhibitors ready to inspire you with the latest solutions to enhance the bike experience in cities and beyond! Take a look at the website to find out more.

If you will not be able to join us in person, take a look at our digital offer. Listen to the plenary sessions live and watch all other sessions from the comfort of your home on-demand after the event. That way you will not miss a single session and on top of it, you will receive a daily video report as well as access to the digital exhibition and networking experience!

The time is now

There has never been a better time for cycling and the COVID pandemic has shown that cycling is part of the solution particularly if we want to reach our goals to fight the climate emergency. The time is now and we are looking forward to hosting an outstanding and inspiring Velo-city Conference in September.

Lisbon is one of the forward-thinking cities that leads the way. Lisbon recognised the essential role of cycling for the resilience of our communities and grasped the opportunity to reshape its streets.

Velo-city 2021 Lisboa will be a great place to learn and exchange knowledge on the key role the bicycle plays in building a more liveable world.

Stay safe and see you soon in Lisbon to celebrate Cycle Diversity!
