Message from ECF Director

In September 2021, Velo-city brought together all those involved in the policy, promotion and provision for cycling, active mobility and sustainable urban development. With over 1,000 in-person participants Velo-city 2021 Lisboa was a great success and an opportunity for the sector to unite and forge strong messages in special times. It sparked vibrant discussions between conference delegates and left decision makers inspired to work towards more active and sustainable mobility. The conference exhibition showcased the latest innovations for a better cycling experience in cities and beyond!

Thank you to all Velo-citizens online and offline who contributed to make Velo-city 2021 Lisboa memorable and successful. This edition once again played a valuable part in promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy means of transport for all!

Cycle Diversity reveals itself in a variety of circumstances, political contexts, climates, natural or human-built environments with cyclists of all ages, backgrounds and genders, and with all types of bicycles, used for different purposes.

We must take advantage of cycle diversity to address the inequities of our cities and mitigate their effects by increasing access to bicycle use for all.
